Commercial Lines Account Manager – Acentria
Foundation Risk Partners (FRP) , one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the U.S., is adding an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to their Acentria team.
Job Summary The Commercial Lines Account Manager works closely with the Producer to develop strategies for renewal retention and new business acquisition. The role exercises discretion and independent judgement on accounts, including product and pricing determinations, and interprets and implements company policies. The Account Manager provides professional support to clients and team members, initiates the renewal process, and performs all duties required to establish, service, and maintain accounts.
Essential Functions
Develop retention and new business acquisition strategies in collaboration with Producers.
Gather client data (application, exhibits, narratives, loss runs).
Place risk independently of Producers.
Collaborate with team to develop marketing strategies and submit to market.
Prepare new/renewal proposals.
Attend marketing and carrier meetings; coordinate client and strategy meetings.
Monitor and update open item checklists and timelines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
Review contracts, recommend carrier transfers, and ensure compliance.
Identify new exposures and develop cross‑sell opportunities.
Communicate with producers and team regarding client matters.
Analyze client data to determine needs and negotiate pricing/products.
Serve as primary client contact beside Producer.
Use independent judgement to conceptualize solutions for client needs.
Build good working relationships with clients and team members.
Competencies & Qualifications
Strong organizational, multi‑tasking, motivational, problem‑solving, detail‑oriented, verbal, written, and self‑discipline skills.
Proficiency in insurance agency management software (EPIC) and Microsoft products.
Education & Experience
State‑issued Property & Casualty insurance license required.
College degree or equivalent work experience.
3‑5+ years of agency experience in the designated field.
