Entry Level Construction Inspector (Trainee Position)
Full‑time position located in the NYC metro area. Applicants will receive on‑the‑job training and professional development opportunities.
Base Pay $22.00/hr – $28.00/hr
Essential Functions Travel to project sites daily, monitor construction operations, perform field inspections and testing, interpret project drawings, prepare daily field reports, communicate deficiencies to project managers and contractors, and observe environmentally sustainable practices whenever possible.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; outdoor labor, construction knowledge, or BOCES training preferred.
Completion of required OSHA training.
Strong communication skills with supervisors, clients, contractors, and inspectors.
Ability to record project data and complete inspection reports.
Understanding of industry standards, plans, and specifications; ability to identify deficiencies.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
Assume stationary position.
Handle, inspect, or feel documents, materials, and equipment.
Communicate via company email and telephone.
Move around job site, including ascending/descending terrain or ladders, for extended periods.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Maintain good visual skills and depth perception.
Operate a motor vehicle for regular daily travel.
