Position Overview We are looking for experienced
Superintendents
for commercial projects in the
Hampton Roads area . This role leads all on‑site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Note:
Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Hampton Roads. Please include a detailed list of projects you have worked on with your resume when applying.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on‑site construction operations for assigned projects
Coordinate closely with Project Managers on scheduling, logistics, and budgets
Oversee subcontractor performance, quality, and compliance with project timelines
Maintain and organize all contract documents and daily reports
Conduct and document pre‑construction and subcontractor meetings
Prepare 3‑week lookahead schedules, safety reports, incident logs, and material deliveries
Enforce all SBBCC safety and quality control procedures on site
Support project start‑up, closeout, and issue resolution
Must be able to obtain access to military facilities
Qualifications
5–7 years of commercial construction experience (general contracting preferred)
Proven experience managing field teams and subcontractors
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and LEED practices
Prior leadership experience on job sites preferred
