We are seeking a bilingual
Senior Property Risk Control Field Specialist
who can work remotely or in an office, with preferred placement in Texas or California. The role will provide risk improvement consultation to large and mid‑market commercial customers in the Property Business Unit in the US and Mexico, aid underwriters in account selection and pricing, track account‑level trends, and communicate with clients and brokers. Proficiency in property loss control skills is required.
Responsibilities
Prioritize and evaluate new and renewal work volumes to meet department goals.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of fire protection, property construction protection and exposures, business interruption exposures, and controls.
Create client‑facing reports.
Conduct on‑site surveys to identify hazards and risk factors for underwriting and risk selection.
Analyze loss trends and identify opportunities to offer risk control products and services.
Review engineering reports.
Travel in the US and Mexico as needed.
Attend client/broker meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social events.
Expand relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Ensure compliance with all codes and standards and stay abreast of changes affecting loss control.
Explore new technologies for loss control delivery.
Produce thought‑leadership articles or create LC library resources.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or related field.
Relevant professional designations or certifications (EIT, PE, CFPS, ARM) are highly desirable.
5–7 years of risk control experience.
Experience with fire protection.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (excellent verbal and written communication).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strategic planning and workload prioritization skills.
Team‑player attitude.
Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000. Actual compensation depends on location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
