Join us as a
Respite Provider
in the Des Moines area. The position supports families with children or adults with disabilities by providing care in the client's home while giving their primary caregivers well‑deserved breaks.
Overview •
Part‑time (up to 29 hrs/week) with flexible scheduling. •
Serve families in Des Moines and surrounding areas (Polk & Dallas counties). •
Provide care ranging from a few hours in the evening to an entire weekend, based on family need and provider availability.
Responsibilities
Deliver all necessary care to a child or adult with a disability at the client’s home.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and home‑based environment during the caregiver’s absence.
Match with clients assigned by the agency or consider special requests from families.
Work up to 16 hours per day, with no guaranteed or set hours.
Keep accurate documentation and communicate regularly with the agency.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience with individuals who have disabilities preferred but not mandatory.
Computer proficiency and reliable access to a computer or tablet with internet for documentation.
