Location: Northern GTA A respected heavy civil contractor is currently seeking a certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their dedicated maintenance team. This full‑time position is ideal for a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in fast‑paced environments. About the Role

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will travel to active job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy machinery and commercial equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety‑conscious, and mechanically skilled, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities

Travel to job sites to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is reliable and safe Perform mechanical repairs and modifications on gas and diesel‑powered equipment Install and test new or aftermarket components and attachments Maintain accurate records, work orders, and timecards Monitor parts usage, assist with ordering supplies, and support inventory control Clean, lubricate, and maintain tools and equipment Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Collaborate with team members and contribute to preventative maintenance planning Stay current with new repair techniques and changes in technology Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanic College, vocational, or technical training in a related field 421A Mechanic's License or Red Seal Certification preferred Strong mechanical skills in gas and diesel systems Valid driver's license required Ability to read and interpret work orders and repair manuals Computer literacy and ability to complete digital documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or in a team Work Conditions
