Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for mechanical projects, particularly in HVAC systems. The role involves collaboration with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure proposals are competitive and comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for HVAC projects based on drawings, specifications, and other project documents.

Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine costs and resource needs.

Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and bid information.

Develop and maintain bid packages, including take-offs and final proposals.

Perform project scope validation and provide technical support during the bidding process.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the estimating process.

Assist in the preparation of contracts and subcontractor bids to ensure clarity and competitiveness.

Participate in project meetings to review estimates and adjust as necessary based on feedback or changes in project scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferred not required.

3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in HVAC.

Strong understanding of HVAC principles, calculations, and construction plans.

Proficient in estimating software and tools.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.
