Location:

Orlando, Florida

Provisional role supporting Architects, Project Managers and Designers in preparing design and construction drawings, and assisting with construction administration for projects. Requires proven teamwork abilities and a minimum of 2-3 years of architectural experience producing detailed and well documented construction documents in Revit. Must be design focused, have a strong school portfolio, and wish to pursue a design career path.

Duties & Responsibilities

Simultaneously work on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various stages of development.

Prepare project designs and construction documents using BIM software.

Support mid-level and senior design architects; collaborate in sketching and team design.

Prepare meeting minutes, project specifications, agency applications, and other documentation.

Visit project sites under the direction of a supervisor and assist with documentation of findings.

Research materials, assemblies, and building codes for incorporation into design and construction drawings.

Integrate consultant and supplier information into Revit models.

Assist in processing contractor submittals and RFIs, logging documents and routing them for review.

Record and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence as needed.

Assist or prepare graphic materials for presentation or documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an NCARB accredited program.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial and institutional projects.

Actively engaged in AXP and pursuing licensure.

Ability to read redlines and modify Revit models and documents accurately.

Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Strong problem solving, analysis, and capacity to research and apply building codes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong time management and task orientation.

Collaborative teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work that requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Work performed in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability to change and response to changing goals, priorities, and needs.

Ability to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
