The Architectural Associate is a full‑time position responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects.
The Architectural Associate participates in the Morton Buildings ArchiTrak Program, collaborating with various individuals across the company to fulfill experience requirements needed to become a licensed architect in accordance with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Architectural Experience Program (AXP).

This position will be based on‑site at our corporate headquarters in Morton, IL.
Essential Functions
Develops various forms of architectural building plans from written contracts within an AutoCAD program including building specifications and layouts, sections, details, truss drawings, and specialty items for building code issues.
Utilize Revit to create preliminary concept drawings, supporting the design team in early project development.
Interacts & develops relationships with various individuals across the company; including engineers, architects, construction estimators, sales estimators, project managers and sales consultants.
Collaborates cross‑functionally within the following areas from project conception through construction document creation:
Practice Management
Project Management
Programming and Analysis
Project Planning and Design
Project Development and Documentation
Construction Evaluation
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
A Bachelor of Architecture or a Master of Architecture degree from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited program.
Experience using AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
Self‑starter and motivated individual, willing to learn and contribute at a fast pace.
Excellent oral and communication skills.
Strong collaborator and demonstrated experience in teams.
Eligible to work permanently in the U.S.
