Role Overview The
Loan Transaction Coordinator
will play a critical role in supporting loan originations, renewals, closings, and investor communications, while also acting as a generalist who supports day-to-day operations across the business.
This is a hands‑on, detail-oriented role with exposure to every part of the business – from borrower onboarding to investor experience. The right candidate will grow with 890 Capital and take on increasing responsibility as the firm scales.
Key Responsibilities Loan & Transaction Support
Coordinate new loan files from approval through funding
Assist with loan renewals, extensions, and payoff processes
Track key milestones (application, underwriting, docs, closing, funding)
Communicate with borrowers to collect required documentation
Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, insurance providers, and third‑party vendors
Ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and organized
Maintain internal checklists, timelines, and closing workflows
Investor Onboarding & Communications
Assist with onboarding new investors (subscriptions, KYC, portal access, etc.)
Coordinate investor documentation and account setup
Support investor communications including emails, updates, and confirmations
Help prepare investor updates, capital activity notices, and reporting materials
Serve as a professional point of contact for routine investor questions
Portfolio & Administrative Support
Maintain loan and investor records in internal systems and portals (e.g., Baseline)
Track key dates (maturities, renewals, interest payments, reporting deadlines)
Assist with draw requests, payoff statements, and post‑closing documentation
Support compliance and internal record‑keeping processes
Help improve internal workflows, SOPs, and operational documentation
Generalist & Growth Support
Assist with ad‑hoc projects as the business grows
Support internal process improvements and system implementations
Help coordinate schedules, meetings, and follow‑ups
Provide operational support to the Founder and leadership team
Take ownership of new responsibilities as they arise
This role will expand over time and is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and growing alongside a business.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Strong organizational and project‑management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and follow‑through
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Professional, client‑facing demeanor
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in real estate, lending, mortgage, title, legal, or finance
Familiarity with transaction coordination or loan processing
Experience with investor communications or client onboarding
Comfort using CRMs, investor portals, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets
