Purpose This role is responsible for driving OEM commercial growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and expanding Corning’s position across the telecom communications market. The individual will work across multiple functions, regions, navigate competing priorities, and move initiatives forward with clarity and urgency. Success requires strong customer engagement, cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to both internal and external needs. Between 50‑75% travel to fulfill requirements of territory management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Leadership: Identify and evaluate new opportunities within telecom communications and advance initiatives from early assessment through account management transition.

Account Management: Own full accountability for revenue, growth, and forecast accuracy across assigned accounts.

Customer Engagement: Strengthen relationships with key decision‑makers across technical, commercial, and operational teams; understand evolving customer needs and align Corning’s solutions accordingly.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, customer care, engineering services, operations, and supply chain teams to coordinate actions, remove barriers, and maintain momentum across multiple priorities.

Responsiveness & Issue Ownership: Serve as a reliable escalation point for customers, ensuring timely communication and rapid issue resolution.

Commercial Negotiation: Support pricing discussions, commercial structures, and contract development to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in sales, product management, business development, or engineering services, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer value.

Strong organizational agility and the ability to influence across a matrixed environment.

Exceptional communication, prioritization, and relationship‑building skills. Experience in Salesforce.com & SAP.

Comfortable managing complex customer requirements, long sales cycles, and shifting priorities.

Ability to work effectively from a home‑based office with minimum supervision.

Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, and Salesforce.com.

Geographically flexible.

Valid driver license and safe driving record.

Travel Requirements

Must be available for significant travel, domestic and international (China & EMEA).

Position Details Employment type: Full‑time

Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level

Salary range: $94,281.00 - $129,637.00
