Key Responsibilities Market Expansion & Strategy

Partner with the Division Manager and conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, new markets, and growth opportunities.

Coordinate closely with the Division Manager to ensure alignment with divisional goals and strategies.

Assist Division Manager in the development and implementation of strategic plans to penetrate target markets and increase market share.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with HCC potential customers, general contractors, property managers, and key decision‑makers.

Manage the full business development cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.

Collaboration & Internal Alignment

Work closely with the Pre‑Construction and Operations teams to ensure accurate pricing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Coordinate marketing efforts with internal departments to maintain consistent messaging and branding.

Marketing & Brand Development

Provide input and initiate requests for marketing campaigns; collaborate with the Marketing team and Division Manager to ensure execution.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand visibility.

Performance & Reporting

Track and report on business development metrics, including pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue growth.

Develop and manage budgets for business development and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications Conditions of Employment

Standard office hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to accommodate client meetings or events.

Must be able to work in a professional office setting and collaborate in person with internal teams for strategy sessions, project coordination, and client presentations.

Occasional remote work may be permitted based on business needs and performance.

Travel Expectations

Frequent local travel to client sites, networking events, and industry functions within the region.

Occasional overnight travel for conferences, trade shows, or meetings outside the immediate area.

This position requires operating company‑owned vehicles for business‑related travel, customer and site visits.

Must adhere to all company vehicle policies and applicable traffic laws.

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must consent to periodic MVR checks as a condition of employment and continued eligibility for driving responsibilities.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screening.

Random drug testing may be conducted in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state laws.

Experience, Education, Certifications & Licenses

Associates Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience in construction or painting industry accepted.

Minimum 3‑5 years of business development experience in commercial painting, construction or related industry.

Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets.

Environmental Conditions

Daily activity is primarily field‑based, meeting with customers, reviewing jobsite conditions, and coordinating solutions; this is supported by regular office time for follow‑ups, estimating, documentation and scheduling.

Must be able to travel to client sites, industry events, and networking functions as needed.

May be exposed to fumes, dust, chemicals, and paint products (with appropriate PPE).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.

Frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment is required.

Must be able to stand, walk, and move around job sites as needed.

Must be able to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. occasionally.

This role may also require walking, bending, and reaching during office or site visits.

Occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance or mechanical support.

Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, safety harnesses, gloves, and protective clothing when visiting job sites.
