Here at Rush, you’ll conduct preventative maintenance and major or minor repairs on Peterbilt, International, Hino, Isuzu, Ford, IC Bus and Blue Bird customers keeping our customers satisfied and on the road.
Main Responsibilities
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs preventive maintenance inspections and ensures the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.
Performs proficient inspection, diagnosis and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Provides assistance, guidance and direction to other maintenance personnel.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Estimates time and material costs on repairs and requisitions new parts.
Advise supervisor immediately if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
Inspects the quality of outside/supplier repairs and or rebuilds. Assesses structural damage and assigns needed repairs using the most appropriate method(s).
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
4 – 6 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a commercial vehicle dealership, fleet or related truck service facility
5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
Current CDL preferred but not required.
Medical card as required by the FMVS.
Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded
