Phlebotomist II Float
Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II Float in Bakersfield, CA, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Job Description This position requires a valid state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). The role offers varied work across multiple patient centers, allowing you to continually meet new people and grow your phlebotomy career.
Pay range:
$23.70 - $26.20 / hour . Salary is based on factors such as skills, training, experience, education, certifications and market factors. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Cover assigned territory, performing phlebotomy duties in patient centers, doctor’s offices, or as business needs dictate.
Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as resource advisor for new employees; serve as point of contact to staff onsite and provide input to group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.
Qualifications Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
Work Experience
Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Minimum 2 years in a patient service center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
