Phlebotomist II Float – Victorville, CA
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
This position requires a valid state phlebotomy license. Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV.
Pay range:
$23.70 - $26.20 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
Responsibilities
Cover assigned territories for phlebotomy duties within Patient Service Centers, doctors’ offices, or as directed by business needs.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctors’ offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training.
Preferred Certification:
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).
Work Experience:
Three years of phlebotomy experience required (pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections). Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
