Location: Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: 9:30 pm – 8 am, variable hours, rotating holidays and weekends
Responsibilities
Show up for work on time and prepare each scheduled work day
Perform all assigned tasks and processes, including those you are fully qualified for and those you may be over‑qualified for
Maintain a positive and supportive attitude and work collaboratively with teammates
Data entry and answer phones
Process specimens for laboratory analysis, including plating specimens for microbiology testing and performing initial phases of testing
Assist technologists to produce patient results
Sort incoming specimens, prioritize, and immediately process STAT and other critical tests
Operate two computer systems proficiently
Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail
Qualifications
High School Diploma or higher; laboratory experience desired
Good computer skills
Physical and Mental Requirements
Data entry with a requirement of 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour
Work in a biohazard environment while following safety procedures
Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a production environment
Maintain a professional attitude at all times
Be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed
Be available to rotate weekend shifts
