Job Overview Position: Part-Time (Store #000715, LensCrafters).

General Function The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value by delivering the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring all patients receive the highest quality optometric care and meeting the store’s key performance indicators.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Greets customers promptly (within 30 seconds).

Answers the telephone within 3 rings in a friendly, courteous manner.

Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.

Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully, consulting with colleagues when necessary.

Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers.

Performs work accurately despite time pressure and customer volume.

Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves issues quickly.

Demonstrates knowledge of appointment scheduling procedures and computer operation.

Maintains patient records in an organized, HIPAA‑compliant manner.

Places contact‑lens orders, processes shipments and submits invoices for payment.

Operates the POS terminal accurately, following company security procedures and retaining proper change for all transactions.

Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times to customers.

Pride in store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines.

Maintains a safe working environment for associates and patients.

Responds quickly to promotion changes with appropriate communications and materials.

Retail

Demonstrates product knowledge and accurately describes features and benefits.

Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle, and budget.

Doctor’s Office

Performs pre‑examination testing with accuracy, explaining measurements to patients.

Provides coaching on contact‑lens care and handling.

Maintains and disinfects contact‑lens inventory, offering clinical support to the optometrist.

Basic Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Strong customer‑service skills (internal and external).

Knowledge of current fashion trends.

Strong communicator and active listener.

Problem‑solving ability.

Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.

Organizational skills.

Sales skills.

Strong basic math skills.

Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, retail, or optical.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
