Overview LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is a global leader in vision care. The EyeCare Advisor delivers the LensCrafters Experience by providing high‑quality optometric care, supporting physicians, and performing retail tasks with excellence.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Greets customers within 30 seconds.
Answers telephone calls promptly (within three rings).
Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services.
Reviews prescriptions and patient information, identifying special needs and consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management.
Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers.
Performs tasks accurately under time pressure and high customer volume.
Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves issues quickly.
Demonstrates knowledge of appointmentареи scheduling procedures and computer operation.
Organizes patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
Records contact‑lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices.
Operates the POS terminal, ensuring accurate entry of customer/patient and prescription data.
Handles payment transactions with security procedures and change management.
Explains “One Hour” processing and delivery expectations to customers.
Maintains store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines.
Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
Responds to promotion changes with staff communications and point‑of‑purchase materials.
Retail Responsibilities
Demonstrates product knowledge and accurately describes lens and frame features.
Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle, and budget.
Doctor’s Office Responsibilities
Performs pre‑examination testing accurately.
Explains measurements and answers patient questions.
Provides coaching on contact‑lens care.
Maintains and disinfects contact‑lens inventory.
Supports the Optometrist clinically as needed.
Basic Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.
Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
Knowledge of current fashion trends.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Problem‑solving ability.
Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
Organization skills.
Sales skills.
Basic math skills.
Knowledge of office and store merchandise.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
Strong interpersonal skills.
