Direct Service Position (DSP) - Residential
The DSP is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well‑being of Y.E.S. The Arc members. They provide compassionate and positive instructional support to help members achieve their life goals, adhering to the philosophy that all individuals are capable of growth and learning.
Key Duties
Ensure member health, safety, and well‑being.
Promote respect and choice for members.
Act as a role model and support appropriate behavior.
Assist with job readiness skills and oversee in‑house job duties.
Support recreational activities and special events.
Implement and document member objectives and behavioral plans.
Assist with personal hygiene and medication administration.
Operate and maintain medical equipment.
Provide safe transportation services.
Help plan and implement healthy menus.
Follow policies for handling member funds and emergency situations.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Attend mandatory meetings and training courses.
Documenting data.
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older.
Obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Pass drug and alcohol testing.
Pass Background Check.
Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 35 lbs.
Ability to exercise restraint and self‑control in volatile situations.
Schedule Residential program: 6:00 am – 8:30 am, 3:30 pm – 9:00 pm. 10‑12 shifts on either Saturday or Sunday.
Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time
Pay: $15.50 – $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20‑40 per week
