Full-time Position Summary:
We are seeking a
full-time Senior Analyst to be based in our Warren, Michigan lab . The senior analyst is responsible for comprehensive analysis and review of cannabis, hemp, and botanical samples prior to distribution to client and/or governing bodies. They will also be responsible for general upkeep and troubleshooting on a variety of analytical instrumentation required to complete testing. As a more experienced laboratory individual this position will occasionally call for method development, root cause analysis, and resolution for issues related to results and testing. Seeking applicants who already reside in or in proximity of the Warren, Michigan region. Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
Specific schedule details to be discussed and determined at the time of hire. Pay Rate:
This will be an exempt salary position, with a starting salary of
$75,000-$80,000 depending upon experience . Applicants must currently reside in the Santa Cruz, CA (Central Coast) region. Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Advanced science degree preferred, Master’s or above. A minimum of 4 years previous experience in a Lab Analyst position. Lab work requires you to experience long periods of time spent sitting and or standing, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
Understand how to perform analysis review using instrumentation including but not limited to HPLC-DAD, GC-FID, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, and GC-MS/MS. Prepare analytical standards and solutions as prescribed to meet laboratory and regulatory needs for instrument calibration and verification. Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulation with respect to cannabis and hemp. Review and compilation of data as required for both cannabis and hemp testing, ensuring correct and complete required information is present and all results meet state and federal regulation prior to release of results from the laboratory. Interact with the customer service department with respect to testing inquiries. Act as a technical lead/reference for other employees. Data analysis and composition into reports as required. Qualifications:
Knowledge and awareness of cannabis and the variety of cannabis products. Ability to analyze instances of nonconformance for probable root cause(s); ability to comprehensively and accurately document a sequence of events involving a testing process. Follows written and verbal instructions; works effectively in a collaborative environment, and effectively communicates with all coworkers and managers. Ability to display critical thinking and problem-solving techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude. Read, write, and speak English, use LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive applications. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education:
All candidates must have
earned a bachelor’s degree or above in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university. Benefits Offered:
