Body Shop Estimator – Sales Rep
DeVivo Bus Sales is hiring a full‑time Body Shop Estimator & Sales Representative for our collision center in Randolph, MA.

Primary Responsibilities
Outside sales – make cold calls to grow the client base.
Examine damaged vehicles and determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Review repair cost estimates with the body shop manager or foreman.
Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to accurately assess and document both visible and hidden damages.
Utilize industry‑standard estimating software (Mitchel Connect) to create detailed repair estimates, including labor hours, parts costs, and material requirements.
Stay updated on parts pricing, labor rates, and industry trends to maintain accurate cost estimates.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear explanations of the repair process and estimated costs, and addressing questions and concerns professionally.
Obtain necessary approvals and authorizations from customers for repair work and communicate with insurance companies to provide estimates and negotiate repair costs.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of all documentation to facilitate the claims process, resolving discrepancies or disputes with insurance adjusters.
Manage parts orders, maintain clear communication with the parts coordinator, and monitor the repair process to ensure compliance with estimates.
Identify and address additional damage or repair requirements discovered during the repair process.
Assist in scheduling and workload planning with management, ensuring continuous learning and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Make cold calls on the road to potential new and established customers.
Create off‑site estimates.
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as an automotive, truck or bus estimator in a body shop or collision repair facility.
Knowledge of automotive, truck or bus repair techniques, materials, and parts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and customer service abilities.
Strong sales orientation.
Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
Familiarity with insurance claims processes and guidelines.
Organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Willing to travel locally.
Good computer skills with experience using an electronic estimator.
Able to pass a DOT physical examination.
Preferred Qualifications
Possession of a Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser License, or eligibility to acquire one.
Relevant certifications or training in automotive estimating is a plus.
