Body Shop Estimator ! Potential earnings based on experience As a
Body Shop Estimator , you will inspect and appraise customer vehicles to determine repair costs for damages billed as insurance claims or customer expenses. This role involves working directly with customers and insurance companies to ensure a seamless repair process while providing excellent customer service. In this role, you will: Examine damage to customer vehicles to locate structural, body, mechanical, or interior damages Estimate repair costs including supplies, parts, and labor Calculate customer payments including deductibles for repaired items Manage claim process by obtaining estimates from insurance companies and reviewing with insurance adjusters Maintain customer reports by explaining estimates and vehicle return timelines Ensure high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks Conduct spot checks of completed jobs for quality assurance Reconcile and prepare final invoices matching approved estimates Qualifications & Requirements: 3+ years of automotive estimating experience Knowledge of major insurance protocols and ability to upload estimates/images accordingly Prior estimating experience preferred I-CAR or industry training Automotive certifications a plus High school diploma or equivalent Minimum age of 18 Valid Driver’s License Ability to pass pre-employment background screening Benefits include paid manufacturer and ICAR training, healthcare plans, disability, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, holidays, employee discounts, community initiatives, and career advancement opportunities.
