Entry‑Level Sales Apprenticeship (Leadership Track) (Gaithersburg)
Join Grit Marketing as an entry‑level sales apprentice on a long‑term leadership track. This role requires an intensive summer ramp and ongoing quota‑carrying sales responsibilities.
Base Pay Range Entry‑Level Sales Apprenticeship (Leadership Track)
Who This Is For Early‑career people who want a long‑term sales path, not just a summer job. You might come from retail, fast food, serving, warehouse/blue‑collar work, customer service, or you skipped or left college and want a real career.
What You’ll Do
Go door‑to‑door in assigned neighborhoods introducing homeowners to pest control services.
Use a proven script to present, handle objections, and close new customers.
Work 6 days per week during the summer ramp, typically 8‑10 hours per day, mostly on your feet and outdoors.
Attend daily morning training and role‑plays with your team lead.
After ramp: run your own territory as an ongoing rep, hitting weekly and monthly sales quotas agreed with your manager.
Track your activity and results like a business: doors, conversations, closes, revenue, and commissions.
Career Path & Leadership Track This role is a starting point in a sales career.
Typical Progression (timelines Depend On Performance)
Months 0–3: New Rep – learn the system, hit ramp quotas, prove you can produce and show up.
Months 4–12: Senior Rep – higher personal production targets, helpshadow/train new hires.
12+ months: Team Lead – run morning trainings, coach a small team, and earn overrides on your reps’ sales.
Top performers can eventually run a full team/office with significant override potential.
Requirements (read Before Applying)
At least 18 by May 1 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Available full‑time for the Summer 2026 ramp (approx. May – August, 6 days/week).
Willing to relocate and live in shared housing with teammates during ramp.
Comfortable with commission‑only pay, weekly/monthly quotas, and long days outdoors.
Intend to treat this as a career track (staying beyond summer) if both sides are happy with performance.
Reliable, coachable, and able to stick with a hard thing for the entire ramp period.
Not a Fit If You
Need guaranteed hourly pay.
Can’t relocate or live with teammates.
Only want a short‑term internship or side gig.
