Responsibilities:
Driving net occupancy growth
- responsible for producing net growth of occupancy across assigned communities - requires strategic planning execution, and consistent performance tracking.
Frequent Travel (up to 100%)
- the role demands full travel availability while working a schedule that requires 10 days on and 4 days off while lodging at the assigned community.
Sales accountability leadership
- Leading daily sales huddles, whiteboard meetings, and prospect case studies to enforce accountability and drive performance.
Goal setting and achievement
- advising on and ensuring monthly achievement of sales goals in collaboration with senior leadership (RVP, COO, Managing Directors of Sales, CSO).
Cross-functional communication
- regular coordination with key leadership and community teams - requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Training and motivating teams
- balancing team member strenth with profitability and growth, which involves coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Sales reporting and analysis
- producing monthly sales reports - requires analytical rigor and attention to detail.
The Sales Specialist supports a Regional Vice President (RVP) and Managing Director of Sales in all components of sales, including producing net growth for occupancy within assigned communities.
Responsible for training and motivating sales teams to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
Schedules and participates in weekly sales calls with RVP and Managing Director of Sales to review productivity report and key sales indicators and drive occupancy for assigned community(ies).
Participates in the semi-annual marketing planning meetings including reviews of previous period activities and planning for next 6 - 8 months including goal setting. Advises in setting appropriate sales goals for plan and in Welcome Home with input from RVP/COO/Managing Director of Sales and Chief Strategy Officer.
Participates in daily sales huddles, white board meetings, prospect case studies and leads these when necessary to increase sales accountability.
Participates in discussion of performance of sales, to goal and budget for assigned community.
Produces monthly sales reports for assigned community(ies)
Follows all company policies and procedures consistently.
Utilizes and updates SmartSheet checklists pertinent for assigned community.
Communicates regularly with RVP, Managing Director of Sales, and Chief Strategy Officer, as well as community teams.
Follows, interprets, and enforces corporate sales policies.
Assists with prospect questions regarding sales/move in process.
Keeps the community updated on current and pending sales activity.
Provides input to marketing and advertising plans and the amount/type of sales training needed for community team members and coordinates with the Chief Strategy Officer.
Promotes and maintains pro‑active, positive team member, family and resident relations.
Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
Uses appropriate workplace behavior and adheres to dress code at all times.
Adheres to the company Vision, Values, and Mission statements.
Is knowledgeable of resident rights and promotes an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well‑being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
Cooperates and works together with all co‑workers; plans and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including using appropriate judgment.
Reports complaints, problems and concerns regarding co‑workers, management or residents in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum 4 years’ experience with running a successful Senior Housing community or region, with regional experience preferred.
Knowledge of customer relations management programs such as reps/matrix care, salesforce, Welcome Home
Must be available to travel up to 100% of the time
Advanced knowledge of office technology including MS Office
Understanding of budgeting process including expense and occupancy forecasting
Strong organization and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task
Strong communication and presentation skills
Team‑oriented; willingness to pitch in and help out
Self‑motivated; takes initiative
Good judgment; ability to prioritize and work independently
Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities
Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
Well‑developed interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities
