We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for a select portfolio of our established customer base. In this role, you will proactively communicate with existing accounts to inform them of incoming inventory, seasonal offerings, and product availability—ensuring they have first access to our freshest catch.
As an integral part of the commercial team, your efforts will directly support revenue growth while enabling our field sales team to focus on new business development.
Responsibilities
Maintain regular contact with assigned accounts via phone, email, and text to communicate product availability, new arrivals, and special offerings. Notify customers promptly when high‑demand or seasonal seafood arrives, driving timely order placement. Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, chefs, and purchasing managers. Work cross‑functionally with marketing, procurement and sales initiatives. Process and confirm customer orders accurately and efficiently. Track customer purchasing patterns and proactively recommend products based on their preferences and order history. Coordinate with inventory, operations and 3PL teams to ensure accurate delivery timelines. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and elevate concerns as needed. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activity in CRM. Collaborate with the outside sales team to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts. Stay informed on product offerings, market pricing, and seafood seasonality. Stay informed on competitor and customer offerings to maintain market strength. Required/Preferred
2+ years of outside sales, inside sales, or account management experience, preferred Background in the seafood, meat, or perishable food distribution industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service orientation with a relationship‑driven approach Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily Proficiency with CRM systems, order management systems and Google Workspace Suite Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to fluctuating inventory Knowledge of seafood species, cuts, processing, seasonality, and quality indicators To be successful in this role
