Edelman's Technology team has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive in New York, D.C., or Atlanta. This position will support the Corporate Technology practice, including working on emerging technologies ranging from AI to quantum computing. This is a great opportunity to bring your experience in public relations and your understanding of the technology space to Edelman. This role will also include cross‑functional and cross‑team work across global teams.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate an understanding of earned media relations, including management of tactical PR program execution and effective pitching

Support day‑to‑day client account work including announcements, proactive storytelling, reactive inquiries, coverage monitoring, weekly client and internal meetings, and keeping the team on track with workbacks and action items

Develop social media content for clients and show an understanding of message development for social audiences

Support executive visibility programs including media opportunities, speaking engagements, and social media

Understand key client information including business strategy, industry topics and issues, products and services, key customers and competitors

Provide client service administration including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage, coordinating press pitching, scheduling, and logistics

Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread materials, including news recaps, media advisories, pitch letters and emails, biographies, reports, and fact sheets

Assist with research including analysis of media coverage and online conversations

Coordinate projects and events including inviting media, preparing press materials, attending events, and preparing reports

Demonstrate a general knowledge of current social media tools

Build a network of traditional and online media contacts and maintain media lists

Provide select administrative support for the team

Record and submit time, expenses, and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis

Manage time well and understand account budget parameters and over‑servicing

Basic Qualifications

At least one year of experience in Communications, Marketing, and/or related fields

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

A general understanding of the tech industry (personally or professionally) is beneficial but not required

Strong writing, editing, strategic thinking, and research skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Ability to work effectively with a variety of clients and team members across time zones

Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines, and assignments

Strong work ethic, project management skills, and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams in a timely manner

Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Compensation $55,000 - $65,000 per year. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue‑based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region‑specific benefits.
