This is a

Hybrid

position with two days working from home (Tuesdays and Fridays) and three days on‑site at a local branch. We are considering candidates who are located near a Johnson Controls local branch to ensure easy access for on‑site work.

What You Will Do The right person listens to understand customer needs, probes to recognize opportunities, solves problems and recommends solutions. The candidate we are looking for must have a passion for customer focus and service, and be able to promote the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners/facilities and IT leaders. You will reach out via phone and email to leads from several campaigns, including HVAC equipment, controls, planned service agreements and inbound lead requests. You will qualify these leads and secure meetings for your outside counterpart. To be successful you will develop a follow‑up process, build relationships with sales reps and grow/maintain a pipeline.

How You Will Do It

Book qualified meetings for your outside counterpart.

Interact with customers daily, identify and offer appropriate solutions or hand‑off any booked meetings to the appropriate rep.

Follow up with your outside counterpart after the meeting and throughout the sales cycle.

Build and maintain your pipeline.

What We Look For Required

0–2 years of inside sales, telemarketing selling, or business experience

Undergraduate degree (preferred) or 2‑year degree & relevant experience

Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet software and e‑mail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

A high level of integrity and resilient temperament

Preferred

2–4 years of inside sales, telemarketing selling experience or business experience at a product company

Track record of over‑achieving goals and demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels

Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls (45–60 on average) per day

Experience working with a CRM database and SFDC

Ability to rapidly build knowledge of Johnson Controls product lines

Experience in HVAC/controls industry is highly preferred

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.83–$22.12 (Hourly rate to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, location and market data). This role also offers a competitive sales incentive plan.
