Your Impact The Account Executive will expand and grow territories for Splunk Public Sector in Commercial SLED accounts, selling Splunk’s award‑winning software into the Tribal Communities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling software or services and building lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Inbound lead follow‑up and status update through the company CRM system
Outbound prospecting and lead generation
Qualify inbound and outbound leads
Schedule product demos for qualified customers
Manage accounts by building and fostering client relationships through personalized contact and communicating solution value
Accurately forecast opportunities based upon realistic assessments
Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals
Partner with a field representative
Support attendance to all field marketing events, including Splunk Lives, our National Users Conference and regional trade shows
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience selling enterprise IT solutions (BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software or networking performance)
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts
Consultative sales experience and ability to challenge companies/businesses to think differently
Proven ability to uncover new opportunities with prospects and existing business through cold calling and hunting for business
Own and manage the entire sales process and cycle from start to finish
Track record of exceeding goals and quota
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Logical and analytical thinker with demonstrated negotiation skills
Strong technical aptitude and computer skills (CRM, Word, Excel, Salesforce.com)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Self‑starter able to work independently while contributing to a team
Excellent conflict resolution skills and highly motivated, professional, with strong interpersonal skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Science, or an equivalent field
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis

Salary Range Starting salary range: $127,200.00 to $174,900.00. Actual pay depends on location, market conditions, experience, education, certifications, and training.
