What do our Pest Control Consultants do? The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers, while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business.
You’ll be the face of our national brand in your local community, and your clients will count on you to protect their homes and families. This includes assessing customers’ needs by consulting with them and performing an analysis using expert knowledge of the company’s products and services that results in the sale of our pest‑control solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Visually inspect homes for pests, harborage, and entry points, then sell preventive maintenance and pest‑control solutions for residential customers.
Collaborate with our Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to create increased opportunities.
Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams with the current customer base and develop proposals that resolve existing pest issues while offering enhancements.
Complete a home diagram using the Sales CRM to ensure a clear understanding of the customer’s home and potential challenges.
Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
Provide expert knowledge to new service installations so the job is completed satisfactorily.
Maintain daily activities and sales performance reports in the company sales CRM.
Essential Job Functions
Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently; move, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects.
Move around a lot—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling—on stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
Handle different pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep the vehicle and all equipment clean.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator and work regularly in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
What do you need?
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license from your state of residence. (Company vehicle and gas card are provided.)
Strong social, customer‑service, and communication skills; related training or experience in sales is a plus.
Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
Travel up to 100 % of the time within your assigned territory.
