What to Expect The Manager, Commercial Credit Management is responsible for leading a team of Credit Analyst, daily servicing, commercial credit lending authority and managing the risk and exposure for an assigned portfolio under Commercial Credit Department leadership. This role is directly responsible for the annual reviews and renewals, as well as the ongoing account management process. In addition, this role will work directly with the Field Sales team, Regional Operations Managers and Directors to resolve underwriting issues.
What You Will Do
Maintain periodic reviews and inspections of collateral, documentation, reporting, and financial statements to identify current and/or early detection of company risk including, but not limited to, management/oversight of UCC’s, Insurance, credit lines, and aged inventory. Manage assigned analyst work prior to submission to Director for review. Includes new requests, interim requests and periodic reviews.
Frequent and direct interaction with sales team (Business Development Managers, Regional Operations Managers and Field Sales Directors), regarding issues determined during the underwriting process for annual reviews and interim requests. Direct interaction with dealer principals and dealership majority owners and staff to facilitate the underwriting process.
Commercial Credit lending authority for new requests as needed and reviews/interim requests, with lending approval authority of up to $15 million for floorplan financing and up to $1 million for working capital loans. Use authority to make decisions on requests and accounts, representing approximately 20% of the Commercial portfolio.
Participate in assigned strategic projects and initiatives (including but not limited to mobility, data, and digitalization efforts) within the Commercial Credit Department.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
What You Will Bring
Minimum 5-7 years’ related experience in financial statements and dealer credit analysis.
0-2 years supervisory or leading large projects.
Exposure to the automotive business environment is highly recommended, particularly if exposure was to some aspect of commercial credit activity.
Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred.
Proven commercial credit and risk identification/mitigation skills in analytically challenging environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to successfully manage, train, develop and mentor direct reports.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.
