Join the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine team as a Neuro Sales Specialist in Atlantic City, NJ. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our neuroscience therapeutics, including CAPLYTA®, within our expanding psychiatric portfolio.
Job Description Johnson & Johnson has entered into an agreement to acquire Intra‑Cellular Therapies, Inc, a biopharmaceutical company focused on therapeutics for central nervous system disorders. The acquisition strengthens our position as a leading neuroscience company worldwide. As a Neuroscience Sales Specialist‑II, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within your assigned geography in an ethical and compliant manner. You will support product knowledge, engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals, develop local strategic plans, allocate resources effectively, and manage budgets and expenses within your territory.
Job Responsibilities
Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory through both in‑person and virtual engagements.
Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives while customizing discussions based on customer needs in a compliant manner.
Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; share insights with internal stakeholders.
Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers and regions, selecting appropriate programs and resources for each customer and practice.
Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures all business objectives are achieved.
Capitalise on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of the strategic plan.
Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists to share best practices.
Accurately manage administrative tasks, including work hours, call data, customer objectives, and reporting of samples and expenses.
Build a business plan based on customer needs, resources, and products.
Complete all required training within the designated timelines.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical device sales; 3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
Experience with launch, antipsychotic, or bipolar sales highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
Strong passion for improving patient and caregiver lives, with a patient‑centric approach.
High integrity and adherence to Johnson & Johnson Compliance policies.
Strong self‑motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent decision‑making judgment and collaboration skills.
Track record of adapting in evolving environments such as COVID‑19.
Adaptability to the changing telemedicine/virtual environment.
Data‑driven, able to analyze metrics, diagnose performance issues, and identify new opportunities.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
Flexible work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours.
Travel may be required, including overnight travel and periodic domestic travel for corporate training and sales meetings.
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary range: $98,000 – $155,000 (base pay).
