Responsibilities
Achieve sales, margin, and EBITDA targets for the store.
Create a great customer experience, address service issues, keep the sales floor clean, organized, and ready for customers.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to all associates, manage completion of Guitar Center University activities and annual performance reviews.
Assist the Operations team with large merchandising projects, including execution of in‑store promotions.
Participate in the interview process for all candidates, onboard and train newly hired sales associates.
Communicate and collaborate with the Store Manager and Operations Manager.
Schedule the sales floor with appropriate staff levels.
Act as manager in charge when necessary.
Open and close the store.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in retail or a warehouse setting.
Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferences
Associate's Degree.
Understanding of retail systems and processes.
