Job Summary As a Comprehensive Solutions Account Executive, you will be the primary driver for financially and sustainability‑driven solution‑sales opportunities. You will identify and qualify new business, and develop strategic customer relationships with public and private sector customers seeking value and outcome‑based solutions.

Where Is The Work Prioritize engaging with customers. When not directly interacting with customers, collaborate with colleagues in your office.

What You Will Do Project Synthesis

Develop and manage processes for discovering client business needs and aligning with solutions.

Evaluate projects and align processes and solutions.

Work directly and indirectly with clients on projects to confirm structured finance solutions.

Client discovery and qualification.

Develop financial Pro Forma and associated business cases with client executives.

Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process and communicating next steps.

Energy Services Project Strategy

Understand macro market and finance trends and use them to inform current offerings.

Monitor clients to establish creative financial solutions that enhance/expand projects.

Collaborate with regional sales and leadership teams to develop and optimize strategies.

Stay abreast of current finance trends for emerging offerings and apply them to projects.

Maintain market‑oriented relationships to support the full set of offerings.

Establish and advance Trane’s thought‑leadership position in focus markets.

Work with clients to establish key indicators and tailor offerings, identifying and closing large deals. Consistently achieve quota targets and build a multi‑million‑dollar pipeline.

Provide knowledge and consultation to customers on financial drivers, legislation, and requirements for energy‑based sales.

Regional Engagement

Maintain active relationships with regional energy services sales leaders and CSAEs.

Support pipeline growth and project size with creative and accretive structured finance approaches.

Maintain a visible and active sales/project funnel using software tools.

Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams (Project Development, Energy Engineering, Project Management) to develop solutions for customers’ challenges and opportunities, including financial and performance considerations.

Travel to customer job sites as required, including outdoor work and mechanical/equipment rooms; exposure to variable weather and environmental conditions.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor of Science degree or 4–8 years of executive selling experience is preferred.

5+ years of executive sales experience, preferably within the MUSH market (municipal, utility, healthcare, education), with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Demonstrated success in financial sales with long, complex, multi‑tiered sales cycles within public and/or private sectors.

Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers.

Expertise in the financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring with multiple buying influences.

Outstanding communication skills, able to educate clients about Trane’s Design Build & Energy Services offerings and articulate costs, savings, investment opportunities, and long‑term options.

Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with a clean record; no major or frequent violations within the last three years.

Compensation Total Target Compensation Range: $110,000 to $260,000+. Compensation includes an industry‑leading commission and incentive plan, with some professionals moving to 100% commission. This pay range is based on U.S. national averages; actual pay may vary based on seniority, merit, and geographic location.
