Job Summary The Commercial Sales Associate is an integral part of Model 1’s sales support team. The role supports the Vice President of Commercial Sales, providing day‑to‑day support throughout the deal lifecycle. This position focuses on assisting with active deals, gathering and validating information, preparing accurate deal documentation, and serving as the primary handoff point to the Sales Administration team. It is a developmental role designed for individuals interested in a career in commercial vehicle sales, offering exposure to the full sales cycle, customer interaction, pricing, deal structure, and internal sales processes.

Responsibilities Sales and Deal Support

Assist with gathering customer requirements, specifications, and supporting documentation needed to compile deals accurately.

Maintain deal files and ensure all required information is complete prior to submission to the Sales Administration team.

Quote, Pricing, and Inventory Coordination

Assist with obtaining quotes, including vehicle rebate estimates and DMV‑related quote requests.

Check and confirm availability of vehicle inventory with internal teams.

Help identify inconsistencies that could delay deal processing.

Deal Entry & Sales Documentation

Track and facilitate sales orders through the order process from creation to customer delivery and related follow‑ups, gaining exposure to the full sales cycle.

Review order documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.

Identify, track, and resolve outstanding order requirements from internal teams and customers.

Validate key order inputs including sales tax, customer payment terms, and order‑related fees.

Customer and Internal Coordination

Serve as a point of contact for customer interactions and follow‑ups at the discretion of the Vice President of Commercial Sales.

Collaborate with internal teams and serve as the centralized point of contact for order status and needs.

Respond to customer inquiries in coordination with internal team members, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Monitor orders and provide visibility to order statuses and outstanding items.

Records Management & Data Integrity

Assist with maintaining customer records and profiles in the company’s customer relations management system (HubSpot).

Contribute to process improvements within the sales function, demonstrating initiative and readiness for increased responsibility.

Requirements Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Strong attention to detail and ability to verify and maintain accuracy of order data.

Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both customers and internal teams.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
