The copywriter plays a very important role within Dillard's in‑house creative department, creating compelling advertising copy to promote Dillard's merchandise in various advertising pieces. Position is located in Little Rock at our Corporate Headquarters (not remote).
Responsibilities
Write, edit, and polish copy for print, digital, and social media advertising.
Develop headlines and copy that appeal to target customers on an emotional level.
Ensure consistency with brand voice across all marketing channels.
Work under tight deadlines and collaborate with designers and planners.
Qualifications
1 year of writing or editing copy for a publication or advertising.
A degree in journalism, English, advertising, communication, or a related subject.
Accuracy and a strong eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑motivated and highly organized.
Understanding of different language styles that appeal to various target customers.
Ability to work comfortably under tight deadlines.
Interest in fashion, commerce, popular culture, current events, advertising trends, and related topics.
Preferred: Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
