Summary The Merchandise Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. Maximizes non‑marijuana sales by delivering efficient, friendly and knowledgeable service and ensures the store is neat, clean and well‑presented at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Professionally handling and advising customers of products and services resulting in the achievement of store sales targets.
Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
Recommends merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.
Work well and support co‑workers to ensure outstanding service and sales.
Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
Comply with inventory control procedures.
Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles as needed.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non‑disclosure.
Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills Knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.

Must be 21 years of age or older.
NV State Agent Card Required.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
