Our client is a rapidly growing company specializing in solar street lighting solutions for communities. They've seen strong success in the Florida market and are expanding nationally. They're seeking an experienced Account Executive to engage with homebuilders, land developers, and Homeowners/Community Associations.
The product itself is exceptional: smart, reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly streetlights that are also cost-effective for builders and communities. These lights are quick to install (15 minutes), carbon‑neutral, and storm‑resilient.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities would include cultivating relationships with existing and potential customers, preparing and delivering persuasive proposals, closing new business, and expanding existing accounts.
Location: Tampa, FL – this is an inside sales role onsite with some travel to conferences and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients to drive sales of solar streetlighting solutions.
Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Prepare and present compelling proposals that address client needs and demonstrate the value of the solutions.
Manage and grow assigned accounts by understanding client needs, providing solutions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Provide feedback on market trends, client feedback, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and product development.
Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and products to clients.
Experience and Qualifications
3+ years of proven experience in sales in a closing role, selling into builders, land developers, HOAs or related industries.
Strong understanding of sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and CRM systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
Creative problem solver with the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
A person of high ethics, integrity, honesty with passion, drive, and a sense of humor.
Previous business relationships within Land Development and master planned communities is preferred.
Familiar with the top builders in the USA NAHB.
Ability to travel for networking events, HOA / CDD meetings, developers' corporate offices, and builder shows.
Accustomed to presenting a presentation deck to c‑suite executives, municipalities, and utility companies.
Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $75,000
On‑Target Earnings (OTE): $125,000 (uncapped commission)
Benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical insurance, vision insurance.
Uncapped commission, reasonable quotas, and a strong benefits package.
