We are expanding our team and looking for an Inside Sales Representative who can follow up with trade show leads, web inquiries, and small to mid‑size accounts. This role is important for improving our lead conversion and supporting the field sales team.
Position Overview Ikeuchi USA is looking for an Inside Sales Representative who will manage the first stage of all inbound and outbound inquiries and qualify potential opportunities. This role improves overall sales efficiency by ensuring that our field sales team focuses on high‑value accounts, while small or simple opportunities can be handled internally.
Key Responsibilities Lead Qualification & Initial Response
Handle all inbound and outbound leads and provide an initial response within the
Conduct qualification calls and gather key information (industry, application, facility size, objectives, budget, location).
Assess fit based on our product line (Dry Fog humidification systems, nozzles, etc.).
Filter out low‑potential or non‑serious inquiries.
SQL Creation & Handoff to Field Sales
Convert qualified leads into Sales Qualified Leads based on defined criteria.
Prepare necessary information before handing off to field sales (notes,
Ensure smooth coordination so field sales can focus on high‑impact work.
Closing Small or Transactional Deals
Handle small‑scale or simple opportunities internally without travel.
Prepare basic quotes when needed.
Complete sales for nozzles, small systems, or replacement parts.
Maintain accurate lead/contact records and follow‑up tasks in Salesforce.
Support monthly review of lead quality and conversion trends.
Customer Communication
Provide initial answers to common technical questions.
Share catalogs, technical documents, and product information.
Set appropriate customer expectations before involving field sales.
Support for Events & Outbound Activities
Follow up with leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, and outbound tools.
Collaborate with marketing to improve lead quality and nurturing flows.
Responsiveness: Ability to prioritize and respond quickly; same‑day response is mandatory.
Structured Qualification: Follow defined criteria, not personal impressions.
Clear & Efficient Communication: Concise and accurate emails/phone communication.
Ownership of Pipeline: Zero‑leak mindset; disciplined follow‑ups.
Collaboration: Respect clear boundaries with field sales and support them effectively.
Customer‑Centric Thinking: Understand customer needs and provide helpful initial guidance.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements; refine scripts and email templates.
Additional Notes
This is primarily an office‑based role, but some travel is required:
Trade shows approximately once per quarter
Field ride‑alongs during initial training (3–6 months)
Occasional short trips within nearby states
Requires willingness to learn industrial B2B technical products.
Must be comfortable handling inquiries from serious industrial customers (precision manufacturing, electronics, printing, etc.).
Must be proficient in professional English communication (written & verbal).
Must be able to work closely with the sales and marketing team in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in Inside Sales, Sales Support, Customer Success, or similar role (preferred).
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools (preferred).
Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
Technical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial products.
