As a NeuroPsych Account Specialist, you will manage a specific geographic territory and promote the growth of Neurocrine products. Your role includes building long‑term relationships with physicians and other customers, educating external stakeholders on product benefits, and driving market acceptance through strategic account management.
Responsibilities
Drive product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management.
Execute territory sales strategies to meet or exceed objectives via in‑person and virtual communications.
Identify and address territory‑specific opportunities and barriers to product success.
Effectively manage promotional resources and budget.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, pharmacists, key opinion leaders, and community mental‑health clinics.
Establish excellent communication with internal partners such as managed care, marketing, patient access, medical science liaisons, and medical communications teams.
Uphold highest ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and industry best practices.
Maintain full field presence Monday‑Friday with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events.
Qualifications
BS/BA in science or related field with a minimum of 4 years of commercial pharma/biotech experience, including 3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals or related sales (LTC, psychology, or neurology preferred). Close‑door or specialty pharmacy distribution experience strongly preferred.
Master’s degree in science or related field with at least 2 years of similar experience.
Knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and broader related business concepts.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives and launch success in complex environments.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with business systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Veeva, and related business intelligence tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.
Results‑oriented, adaptable, and effective in managing change with a strong ethical foundation.
Eligible to reside within the assigned territory and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range is $123,100.00–$168,000.00, with eligibility for quarterly incentive compensation and participation in the company’s equity‑based long‑term incentive program. Benefits include a retirement savings plan with company match, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits covering medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance per applicable plans.
