Robinson Fresh, a division of C.H. Robinson, is recruiting a Key Account Manager (KAM) focused on large grocery retailers. As a KAM, you will be the trusted advisor and primary point of accountability for a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving growth, maximizing retention, and creating demand through innovative, tailored solutions that address real business challenges.

Responsibilities Consultative Leadership & Insights
Leverage Robinson Fresh tools, internal/external data, and market intelligence to deliver actionable business insights, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities for customers.
Conduct pre‑, mid‑, and post‑season business reviews, communicating performance and driving share‑of‑wallet growth.
Maintain a strong presence in customer and competitor locations (online and physical) to deepen market understanding.
Business Development & Strategic Growth
Build and expand relationships across customer supply chains, collaborating with internal SMEs to develop solutions and drive market share expansion.
Manage an active opportunity pipeline in CRM, applying strategic negotiation and sales strategies to secure complex pricing and service agreements.
Own account strategy, including RFPs, proposals, and awards, while proactively managing pricing strategies and leveraging digital solutions.
Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement
Act as a customer advocate internally, ensuring alignment of resources and delivering exceptional service through SOPs, KPIs, and best practices.
Partner with operations, capacity, and sales teams to execute holistic account plans and identify automation opportunities.
Address customer feedback (including NPS) and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Financial Accountability & Process Efficiency
Monitor account health through financial, volume, and service performance reviews; implement cost avoidance and process improvements.
Ensure adherence to negotiated payment terms and AR processes, taking timely action on outstanding items.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum 4 years of experience in sales and/or account management.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
Supply chain knowledge.
Fresh produce experience.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrates and drives a data‑driven approach.
Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions.
Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Compensation Range $79,800.00 – $124,300.00. The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
