This full‑time position starts in the Late Spring/Summer of 2026. If you enjoy creating new relationships and thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment, our Capacity Portfolio Representative role may be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain carrier relationships through lead generation, cold calling, and referrals.

Learn about carriers’ business goals, preferences, and capabilities to maximize relationships and satisfaction.

Monitor account activity, identify inactive or under‑utilized accounts, and take action to reactivate them.

Leverage technology such as automated booking products, C.H. Robinson’s carrier website, and mobile apps to enhance carrier satisfaction and efficiency.

Analyze freight market trends, seasonality, and supply‑demand factors to make informed pricing decisions.

Use capacity analysis and internal costing tools to guide buying and negotiating strategies.

Proactively post, negotiate, and secure available capacity to meet customer needs.

Provide outstanding service by addressing carrier issues promptly and implementing effective solutions.

Regularly review and act on carrier feedback to improve service.

Identify and recommend the best payment solutions for each carrier based on their needs, and assist with cash advances and payable issues.

Collaborate with internal teams on shipment updates, problem resolution, and operational execution.

Maintain accurate transit load visibility and enforce on‑time pickup and delivery expectations.

Identify root causes of issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Strong decision‑making, multi‑tasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others.

Experience using customer perspective to guide decisions and actions.

Enjoy solutions‑driven work by leveraging appropriate tools to evaluate and make recommendations.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (business, sales, marketing, supply chain, communications, or related major is a plus).
