Key Account Manager – Coffee Chain
Reports To President
Location Remote
Position Overview The Key Account Manager – Food Service (GPO) is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with foodservice distributors, brokers, and operators. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, executing sales strategies, and driving growth through strong customer partnerships and account management.
Education & Experience Requirements
College diploma or equivalent; related experience and/or training may substitute for education
Minimum 5 years of experience in foodservice sales related to coffee chains
Existing relationships with large foodservice operators in Florida (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with foodservice distributors, brokers, and operators
Prospect, qualify, and secure new large-volume customers
Identify opportunities for product placement and expanded distribution
Develop and manage a broker network to drive sales growth
Plan and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed company targets
Negotiate pricing, promotional activities, and customer agreements
Provide product training, demonstrations, and technical assistance
Travel to customer sites to build relationships and promote products
Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to share field insights
Perform other duties as assigned
Must have Coffee Chain experience
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Proven success in relationship building and customer retention
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of food safety regulations
Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
Travel Requirements
30% travel required for customer visits, events, and trade shows
Approximately 70% inside / 30% outside
Combination of remote work and on-site visits to customers, distributors, and trade shows
