The
Regional Sales Manager
is responsible for achieving assigned sales volume and profitability targets within a defined multi-state territory. This role involves coordinating sales programs, executing marketing promotions and events, and leading broker and distributor team engagement through training and business reviews. The position requires managing and strengthening relationships with brokers, direct distributors, and foodservice operators. Territory Coverage: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Virginia Responsibilities
Represent the company and its plans, policies, and ethics while maximizing sales and profits. Build a sales strategy and develop tactical plans to execute and achieve budgeted sales goals. Develop and manage sales budgets. Assist Marketing in planning and execution of company goals. Establish and nurture relationships that motivate brokers and direct customers to strengthen our brand and private label business. Educate and train brokers to effectively operate company software to present new items and develop individual customer action plans. Manage account-specific forecasts and product mix to maximize customer profitability. Conduct periodic broker and customer business reviews to maximize growth and profits while staying within budgets. Analyze, monitor, and report changes in the marketplace (customer, broker, products, and competition). Develop opportunities in the alternate channels of business (C-Store, Mass, etc.). Develop and manage international market opportunities while overseeing the Export Business Unit. Manage customer trade spend activity, marketing monies, deductions, etc. Food Safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager. Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of Foodservice experience. Working knowledge of Foodservice broadline and regional account business. Demonstrated success and working understanding of Branded and Private label programs. Experience working food shows, facilitating product cuttings, developing and managing growth programs. Understanding of category management and supply chain perspectives. Proven success managing broker networks. Proven experience translating market data and trends to support sales presentations. Ability to independently prepare and present category reviews and new items to category management. Financial acumen and entrepreneurial perspective. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a Team. Skills
Relationship-driven with strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills. Highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time. Benefits
