The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with residential and commercial roofing contractors. This role focuses on generating new business, growing existing accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor for roofing material solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new residential and commercial contractor accounts
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
Conduct regular jobsite and office visits with contractors
Promote and sell roofing materials and related products
Prepare quotes, follow up on bids, and close sales
Coordinate with inside sales, operations, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications
Outside sales experience, preferably in building materials, roofing, or construction-related industries
Strong knowledge of roofing systems and products
Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals
Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Houston area
