Job Description The Field Technician (Inspector) is responsible for testing, repairing, and inspecting fixed fire protection systems and their components to ensure proper functionality and to document any deficiencies. The role requires exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Complete all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and company policies and procedures.
Schedule inspections with customers as required.
Provide documentation of inspections for Eagle Fire records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other required entity.
Communicate discrepancies, required system repairs, and other important issues to Eagle Fire and the customer.
Maintain current certifications and/or licenses through continuing education as required for the position.
Work safely using good judgment, following all Eagle Fire safety policies and work procedures, and use authority to stop unsafe acts.
Perform other related duties as required.
Experience & Qualifications
4+ years of industry experience.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Fire sprinkler service/inspection experience.
Fire sprinkler manufacturer’s certifications.
NICET certification.
Fluency in English (spoken, read, written).
Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
Excellent customer service skills.
Self‑starter capable of working independently.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the last five years.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull.
Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed.
Proficiency in operating and efficiently using measuring instruments, gauges, and assorted industry‑related devices.
Ability to work in extreme cold and extreme hot temperatures.
Ability to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
