About the Role Your mission as an Equipment Sales Representative is to develop relationships with customers in your sales territory by creating value, following up on leads and opportunities that support business growth. You will develop a strategic sales territory, new accounts, opportunities and call planning. You will follow market trends, challenge the status quo, and look for innovative solutions for an ever-changing customer and market scenario. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.
Guide customers in designing compressed air solutions and stay current on all Quincy product offerings.
Prospect new and drifted accounts to generate revenue, manage quote logs and follow up as needed, building relationships with key accounts in the assigned territory.
Audit compressed air systems, present results, and work with local utility companies to process rebates for energy savings.
Support and grow the local sub‑distribution network.
Provide training to customers and sub‑distributors and troubleshoot current systems.
Achieve business‑plan sales goals in Quincy business categories, including small and large rotaries, reciprocating compressors, accessories and aftermarket services.
Collaborate with other sales teams and departments to develop opportunities and strategies to retain or recover lost customers.
Use business tools such as Salesforce.com, CPQ (iQ2), ERP (SAP) and others to gather necessary customer information for quoting, follow‑up and to record activities.
Process orders received, maintaining the integrity of the post‑sales process by acquiring the necessary PO, documentation, approvals and contract review process.
Provide feedback to sales and marketing teams on market activity, competition and other relevant information.
Conduct regular reviews with the respective sales manager and team.
Contribute to team efforts, meetings and discussions.
Travel daily within the sales territory and domestically as required.
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in the compressed air industry or with compressed air systems.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (management, business, administration, marketing, engineering or related technical specialization). Relevant related experience will be considered.
Customer‑focused with the ability to understand and prioritize customer needs.
Risk‑taker who still analyzes potential pitfalls.
Self‑motivated and capable of leading one‑self.
Willing to act while coping with varied workloads and remain assertive, organized and flexible in daily work.
