A Hiring Company . This position is part of the Merit Basic Unit Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement Contract represented by Council 5 of AFSCME. Social workers on the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team provide person-centered, comprehensive, community-based, intensive case management support and services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness (primary diagnoses of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder). This mobile, multi-disciplinary team is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with an on-call rotation. Services are delivered to each person at least 2–3 days per week.

Salary

Social Worker: $27.70 – $41.73 per hour.

Social Worker (MSW): $30.14 – $45.75 per hour.

Probationary Period Appointees to this position must successfully complete a twelve-month probationary period prior to being certified for permanent employment.

Qualifications Necessary conditions for admission to this position are the following. Applicants only need to meet one of the two ranks within each qualification category. Both qualifications are required for hiring.

Social Worker (Pass/Fail): Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in any field AND one (1) year of full-time paid verifiable experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Social Worker (MSW) (Pass/Fail): Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in social work; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or a closely related field with a specialization (39 quarter credits or 30 semester credits) in marriage, family, child or victim/offender counseling or a closely related specialization.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
