Responsibilities include: Scheduling service work in the service department and selling additional needed services to customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule service appointments and obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible. Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner. Provide complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts, and establish promised times. Monitor repair progress, communicate changes to customers, explain costs and time requirements, and obtain proper authorization for additional repairs. Test-drive vehicles or refer to technicians as necessary. Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index ratings at or above manufacturer, zone, or branch averages. Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance, using maintenance menus. Adhere to dealership standards for hours per customer repair order written. Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA requirements. Follow all safety policies and report accidents immediately. Advisor Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. At least two years of experience in a retail sales environment. General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations (preferred). Sales or customer service experience required. Professional personal appearance. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Authorized to work in the USA. Ability to perform duties safely and pass pre-employment testing (background, MVR, drug test, credit report, valid driver license). Weekday work hours from 7 am to 7 pm; must be able to work Saturdays. Data entry and computer skills are a plus. Must be a self-starter with motivation to succeed.
