Automotive Sales Manager
to lead our sales team, drive performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day sales operations, coaching and developing sales consultants, maximizing profitability, and ensuring dealership sales objectives are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales volume, gross profit, and CSI goals
Desk deals, structure transactions, and ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations
Monitor and manage sales performance, including individual and team KPIs (units, PVR, closing ratio, etc.)
Work closely with the General Manager and F&I department to optimize deal flow and profitability
Recruit, train, and onboard new sales consultants
Conduct daily sales meetings, one-on-one coaching, and performance reviews
Oversee internet leads and follow-up processes to maximize conversion rates
Ensure a consistent, transparent, and professional customer experience
Maintain inventory awareness and collaborate on pricing, merchandising, and market strategy
Handle customer escalations and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications
Minimum
3–5 years of automotive sales management experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profitability goals
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to analyze reports, trends, and performance metrics
Experience desking deals and working closely with F&I
Knowledge of CRM systems and digital retail tools
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
