Your Impact Account Executives are individual contributors who play a vital role in driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk and Cisco. We are seeking a hardworking, driven sales professional to drive revenue growth calling on large SLED accounts in VA and WV. We provide our reps with an environment in which they can make valuable contributions from day one while also building opportunities for learning and growth. The work you’ll do will directly impact the experience of our customers.

You will consistently deliver license, support, and service revenue targets with dedication to numbers and deadlines. In addition, you will:

Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities

Explore the full spectrum of relationships and business possibilities across the client’s entire org chart

Become known as a thought‑leader in machine learning and predictive analytics

Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across more diverse business stakeholders

Holistically embrace, access, and apply the channel to identify and open new, uncharted opportunities

Provide timely and informative input back to other corporate functions

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises or Public Sector (required) in fast‑growing, changing, and driven environments.

4+ years of sales experience within the Public Sector Industry

2+ years of direct sales experience with large SLED (State, Local Gov. and Higher Ed) accounts in VA and/or WV

Proven record of exceeding quota in complex, solution‑based sales.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Willing to travel to client site and for conferences

Must live in the DC Metro, VA or WV region

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of SaaS or Cloud experience is highly preferred

4+ years of direct SLED experience preferred

Previous experience teaming with partners, channels, and alliances to sell more efficiently and overachieve your quota

Consistent track record of new business development and over‑achieving sales targets with prospects and customers in the defined territory

Strong executive presence and polish, and excellent listening skills

Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies is a plus

Compensation & Benefits The starting salary range posted for this position is $300,000.00 to $378,000.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate’s hiring location, market conditions, job‑related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. For U.S. employees, benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with Cisco matching, paid parental leave, short and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and eligibility for restricted stock units.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below: 10 paid holidays per full calendar year plus 1 floating holiday, 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday and year‑end holiday shutdown, 4 paid days off for personal wellness, 16 days of paid vacation for non‑exempt employees, flexible vacation for exempt employees, 80 hours of sick time, and optional paid volunteer days.

Sales employees on Cisco sales plans may earn performance‑based incentive pay on top of their base salary, split between quota and non‑quota components, subject to Cisco’s applicable plan. For quota‑based incentive pay, incentive rates range from 0.75% to 1% of target per $1% attainment, increasing with over‑achievement, with no cap beyond 100% attainment. Non‑quota incentives may be paid up to 125% of target for strategic objectives.
